lately isn't evermore
Kathryn Sadakierski
Though the tracks are laid,
aligned in their infinite grace, slowly unchanged even as time erodes, they do not mark our fate forever. Love, vast and limitless, a form of redemption, is evergreen, yes, like tracks in the snow, leaving an imprint beyond human boundaries of time, it grows, more than we could have guessed, have known, because love, unconditionally, is known to the eternal soul, filling the heart, all that you are, joyous and bold. But tracks laid can be rearranged, newly placed, so even as we’re quarantined, even as time marches slowly, and sometimes, faster than it should, out of step with the music that has staidly marked our places in these chapters of our lives, we know that love will bring us through this, that the tracks laid, rules, tape marking six feet apart, do not define, do not confine, or restrict, love, which is too great a beauty to be contained, forever unbound by time or place. |
